Catherine will listen to Masterclass members run a few scenes from Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, in which she played Beatrice to David Tennant’s Benedick in 2011.
How to take part
Participants to take part onstage have now been chosen, but you can still take part from the audience, asking questions and getting involved!
The relevant scenes they will be working onstage are attached below:
Act I, Scene 1, Don Pedro, Leonato, Benedick and Beatrice
Act II, Scene 3, Benedict and Beatrice
Act III, Scene 1 Hero, Ursula and Beatrice
Biography
Actor and writer, Catherine Tate is well known for a diversity of work in television, film and on stage, including the award winning *The Catherine Tate Show, Dr Who* and the US version of *The Office*. This year saw the release of her film *The Nan Movie* and new series *Hard Cell* on Netflix which she wrote and directed. A new show for BBC/ABC is currently in preproduction and shoots this year in Australia. As a side note she would like it to be known that she likes animals way more than people!
