Ready to get physically, musically, and comically physical, comical and musical?
The Fool’s Toolbox is a bootcamp in using physical theatre, clowning and music to devise new work. The session, led by socio-political theatremaker Claire Parry, is filled with exercises, games and improvisations that will give you the tools to unlock even the most serious subjects in a gloriously silly way.

Claire Parry is a Lecoq-trained theatremaker/clown/musician/writer/composer/performer/director with a penchant for the socio-political and the interdisciplinary. She has written and performed two solo shows, Intolerable Side Effects (★★★★ “a hilarious take on one of the most stark issues in the lives of modern women” WeeReview) and Boorish Trumpson (★★★★★ “mesmerising clowning and physicality” Express) which have both toured to Edinburgh fringe and beyond.
Claire has also devised, performed and composed the music for Cache-Cache, an ensemble-led physical theatre show currently touring in France. She regularly directs and movement directs for the outdoor touring Shakespeare company, The Three Inch Fools, and is a member of the Theatre Cooperative, SCRUM. Her debut play Hope Is For Tomorrow was shortlisted for the Bold Playwrights scheme. She is also an associate tutor at Guildford School of Acting where she teaches Lecoq. Boorish Trumpson, which was nominated for the Artist Choice Award at Vault Festival 2023, is on tour this summer and autumn!
