Join Elin Schofield (winner of Best Director Award at the 2022 UK Theatre Awards; revival director of Till the Stars Come Down and Dear England) for this Creative Conversation.

Biography

Elin Schofield

Elin Schofield is a director, writer and movement director. She trained on the National Theatre Studio Directors Course and Sheffield Theatres’ The Bank. 

As Director, theatre includes: A Christmas Carol (Sheffield Crucible, upcoming); Dear England (West End, 2025); LOVE (Park Avenue Armory / European tour); A Doll’s House and Scissors for Sheffield Theatres; National Theatre at 60 for the 2024 Olivier Awards at the Royal Albert Hall; Robin Hood and the Christmas Heist (Rose, Kingston); Screwdriver (also co-writer) (Lyric Hammersmith / Sheffield Theatres); Signals and Daniel (Footprint Theatre on UK tour).

As associate and assistant director, theatre includes: Standing at the Sky’s Edge (Sheffield Theatres / National Theatre / West End); Talent and hang (Sheffield Theatres); The Narcissist (Chichester Festival Theatre); Pop Music (Paines Plough / UK tour). 

As a movement director, theatre includes: Seagulls (Bolton Octagon); The Changing Room (Sheffield Theatres); The Snow Queen and The Nutcracker (Theatr Clwyd). 

Awards: UK Theatre Award for Best Director 

Elin has been part of the Royal Court’s Playwriting Group and the Sheffield Theatres’ Playwriting Group.
