James is best-known for his roles as the bumbling and well-meaning Tom in the romantic comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral and as Hugo Horton in the The Vicar of Dibley, but his impressive credits include theatrical turns at the RSC, National Theatre, Royal Court and across the West End!
Join us as James explores scenes from some of his favourite plays, live on stage with actors from the Masterclass community. An epic opportunity to play with dialogue, led by one of the industry’s great comic actors!

Biography
Distinguished actor James Fleet has been a much-loved figure of the British stage and screen for many years. Recent television appearances include Unforgotten, Death on the Tyne, Patrick Melrose, Indian Summers, The Hollow Crown, Outlander, Partners in Crime, Plebs and Death Comes to Pemberley, although he is perhaps best known for playing Tom in the iconic British rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral, and Hugo Horton in The Vicar of Dibley.
James’ screen appearances also include numerous feature films, including The Spy who Dumped Me, Love & Friendship, Mr. Turner, Kevin & Perry Go Large, Charlotte Gray, Sense and Sensibility and The Butterfly Effect.
James is no stranger to the stage and has performed in many of the UK’s most iconic theatres including Les Blancs, The Observer and Bérénice at the National Theatre, Mary Stuart at the Donmar Warehouse, Cloud Nine at the Almeida, As You Like It and Just Between Ourselves at the Old Vic Theatre and numerous productions at the RSC including Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Henry IV, I & II and A New Way to Pay Old Debts.
