Join multi-Olivier Award winning director Jordan Fein for a Masterclass exploring the journey of bringing a musical to life – from the first idea to the final curtain call.

Jordan has earned widespread acclaim for his ability to revitalize staples of the musical theatre canon. His "fresh and rapturous rendition” (The Stage) of Fiddler on the Roof at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and the Barbican earned three Olivier Awards, including Best Musical Revival. His five-star production of Into the Woods is currently playing at the Bridge Theatre, with further credits including co-directing Oklahoma! (Young Vic / West End), and Associate / Prologue director Cabaret (West End).

Led by his own experience and submitted questions from members, Jordan will walk us through the unique challenges and joys of directing a musical, from classics to new writing. Make sure to submit your questions or areas of interest in advance, to help structure this session and guide areas of focus.

Step 1: Submit your questions or areas of interest here by 2pm on Friday 15 May.

Step 2: Book your FREE place.

Step 3: Join us for a deep dive into the craft, fuelled by Jordan’s insights and your curiosity.

This Masterclass is a must-attend for directors, performers, writers and any theatre-makers eager to understand the rigour and magic required to make a musical sing.

Come prepared to interrogate the process and gain a roadmap for one of the most complex art forms on stage. There will be a short open Q&A at the end of the session, but questions are much more likely to be addressed if submitted via the form above.
