Sally Cookson: Building Connection

Join Olivier Award-winner Sally Cookson for this interactive Masterclass about building an ensemble and creating safe spaces, helping actors to access the inner pain of their characters. Sally will use scenes from Wonderboy* (Winner of the 2023 Writers’ Guild Award for Best Play) which she has just opened at Bristol Old Vic to discuss this practice. She will also run exercises to demonstrate how the company carefully worked together to build connection with their characters and excavate their deep emotional states that they experience. *Wonderboy contains references to suicide, parental death and includes strong language.
