Latitude Festival - Urgent Actor Callout

4 July 2022

We are looking for a black female identifying actor to join our company of performers taking Script Sessions to Latitude Festival. You must be able to do a **Northern Irish** accent. This is an urgent call out, and ideally actors would be available to have a zoom audition tomorrow, Tuesday 5 July, 11.30am. But please do let us know your availability to audition later this week if this time isn't possible. **Performances at Latitude Festival** The performances at Latitude Festival will be 45 minute extracts, followed by a 15 minute discussion with the Latitude audience. **Rehearsals** We will be having three days of rehearsal (8 hours for each play) in central London 18-20 July, before travelling to Latitude festival and performing 22-24 July. **Perks & Pay** You will receive a free weekend ticket to Latitude Festival, and will be paid London Living Wage for your working time. You MUST be a Masterclass member (Aged 16-30 - [Sign Up Now](https://masterclass.org.uk/app)), and fully available for the week 18 July- 25 July. **The plays are:** ***Choosy* by Jack Stanley** - Lex and Sam know it’s totally the right time to start a family. And they don’t want their child to have any of the issues they have. So they’ve signed up to a genetic service with a unique process that will make that wish a reality. But the experience proves tough. Testing their relationship and forcing them to face the news that made them consider this opportunity in the first place. Perfect genes come at a price. ***Gretel* by Tanya Bridgeman** - *Gretel* is a modern retelling of Hansel & Gretel and explores themes of poverty, class, family and county lines. It delves into the lives of Britain’s invisible children and asks the question, “If put into their position what would you do?” ***A Matter Of Course* by Oliver Doone** - An American businessman sets his sights on a tiny village on the North Coast of Northern Ireland as the setting for his new golf course. When a wee old woman won't part with her land, residents take matters into their own hands. A dark comedy-drama about a tiny community battling the forces of global consumerism. ## How to Apply Please send your acting CV/spotlight link to [info@masterclass.org.uk](mailto:info@masterclass.org.uk) with the email heading **LATITUDE - Actor**. **Applications Deadline: Monday 4 July, 5pm. **You must be available for all rehearsals 18-20 July and the full weekend of the Latitude Festival 22-24 July.**
