Masterclass (part of the Get Into Theatre family) is seeking applications for an Event Management Intern on TheatreCraft. This is an exciting development opportunity for someone who wishes to build a career in producing, stage management, or theatre administration.

About the Event:
TheatreCraft is the UK’s largest free careers event for anyone aged 16-30 seeking offstage roles in theatre. This flagship event takes place at the Royal Opera House and across the West End, featuring over 70 exhibitors and offering more than 70 workshops, tours, and demonstrations. Each year, TheatreCraft welcomes over 1000 young people through the doors.

📅 Internship: 21 September 2026 – 9 November 2026. Please Note: All applicants must be able to commit to the full contract and must be available on 5 and 6 November.

💰 Salary: Paid at London Living Wage
📍Based: Central London
✍️ Contract Type: Fixed Term until 9 November 2026
💼 Working pattern: 2 days a week, with significant flexibility to accommodate other work, educational or caring commitments.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- General administrative assistance (keeping records up-to-date, ordering supplies, processing invoices and running errands)
- Assisting with events and event preparation
- Scheduling and managing volunteers
- Social media and marketing
Who Should Apply:
We're looking for candidates who:
✔ Are competent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
✔ Are comfortable using social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook & TikTok)
✔ Are enthusiastic and keen to learn
✔ Have a keen interest in theatre – particularly producing, stage management or theatre administration
✔ Are able to work calmly under pressure and solve problems if they arise
✔ Are aged 18+

✔ Have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the placement
We particularly welcome and encourage candidates from backgrounds which are currently underrepresented in the offstage workforce, although we regret that due to the nature of the venues there is not always step-free access.
Due to funding, preference will be given to candidates under 25 and residing in select London boroughs (Barnet, Brent, Camden, City of London, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster). We will, however, consider all candidates.
