Paid Internship: Stage Management Summer 2026

Deadline: 20 April 2026

Masterclass is inviting applications for a paid, short-term internship for an aspiring Stage Management professional with Sonia Friedman Productions, working on the production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London’s West End. This is a hands-on opportunity for those interested in stage management to gain practical backstage experience during an exciting period as the production evolves from a two-part to a one-part show.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, this new play by Jack Thorne received its world premiere in London’s West End at the Palace Theatre in summer 2016. The critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.

You’ll work full-time alongside the show’s Stage Management team across the Production's recast rehearsals, supported and trained by industry professionals. During this placement, you’ll develop essential skills in rehearsal support, props maintenance and show plots, while gaining insight into the running of a large-scale production.
